Here’s what we did – Event Details
We had 11 pilots and 9 aircraft, a four hour briefing on Friday and flew 12 sorties on the weekend. It was one of the best clinics we have had to date. Our next clinic is at Spruce Creek (7FL6) in early January. Last year we flew with some Grumman pilots including Stu Morse.
Original Details before the Event
I will be flying my Tiger into KJEF on Friday/7 Nov and departing Sunday morning/9 Nov. If we have enough interest, we will be hosting a briefing to introductory formation flying Friday afternoon that lasts about two hours. Saturday is the main formation flying day, but we may fly some Sunday morning as well. We already have nine attendees signed up, but thus far my Tiger is the only Grumman, while most are Cherokees. Would love to see some other Grumman aircraft at the event, even if only observing. Attendees are welcome to attend the briefings and observe from the ground. If there is interest, we may be able to provide observation rides with experienced formation pilots. If there are enough Safety Pilots available, you may be able to fly your aircraft with a right-seater/Safety Pilot.
