I have both throttle and mixture verniers. Roscoe installed them, but I don’t remember where he got them.
I think verniers are actually good for the engine because they encourage gradual, precise power application and leaning.

By “pull prop through” do you mean to pull it *past* the compression stroke?

I contacted Roscoe who agreed to complete the extensive renovations begun by Bob Steward. So, Roscoe fetched my plane and flew it to his shop (KHAO) in Hamilton, OH–about a two hour flight from KROA.
