Does anyone have any experience with any of the battery operated electric tugs on a Tiger with wheelpants? Good? Bad? Cost? I can pull mine ok but using it is a bear and I do have a winch setup that pulls from the front but it is a pain to use. Has anyone used or see the ACC4kjr from DJ products in use? On my 1979 tiger annual the oil cooler flange was found to have a crack. The oil cooler itself works fine, it is just the mounting flange that is cracked. No one seems to accept the idea of simply welding the crack and I am willing to assume that they know better than me — but what is wrong with that approach ? Thanks for any information you can

I supplied the rudder return springs and was charged for 2 1/2 hrs. labor to have them installed. Is that reasonable? Thanks.

While changing my transponder someone had noticed that I had a broken rudder return spring. I ordered two new ones (approx. $7.00) and had them installed by the mechanic at my airport. The time was 2.3 hours. Seems awfully long to me to install two springs but I will be the first to admit I didn’t even know the plane had rudder return springs!
